Well-fancied late G-One Lover hung on by a whisker after hitting the front 80m out following a handy run without cover from a wide gate. It was huge run and he might have the tools to win another over this course and distance. Smart Boy came on strongly after being allowed to find his feet in midfield to just miss. He has turned the corner this term but needs a gate to remain competitive at this level. Diamond Master got the head start on Gamechangers after a deep run in midfield from a wide gate to take third. He hasn't been drawing well or been luckless on a number of runs this term so a top effort was no surprise. Gamechangers took some time to wind up travelling one off worse than midfield but eventually got going to make it close for a placing. He's crying out for a longer trip. Sam's Love surged late down the very far outside after settling second from the rear to finish just out of the top four. He's still learning but certainly has ability.

Race Eight: (271) - ROSELLE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

GOLDEN HARVEST and GAMECHANGERS bumped at the start.

POWER MAN was crowded for room on jumping between LAMAROSA and SMART BOY which shifted in.

HAIR TRIGGER was crowded for room on jumping between G-ONE LOVER and BURST AWAY, both of which shifted ground.

Then from a wide barrier, HAIR TRIGGER was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

SAM'S LOVE was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.

Shortly after the start, ENERGETIC CLASS shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of CALIFORNIA FORTUNE.

Approaching the 250 Metres, DIAMOND MASTER shifted in and brushed GOLDEN HARVEST.

Over the final 100 Metres, SAM'S LOVE shifted out under pressure.

Throughout the race, G-ONE LOVER travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of LAMAROSA and BURST AWAY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CALIFORNIA FORTUNE, G-ONE LOVER and SMART BOY were sent for sampling.
