Recap by phillip woo

Punted late Enormous Honour came on nicely near the inside after a patient ride third from the rear to take control 100m out for only a second win from 41 starts. He was freshened up which appeared to work wonders but he'll likely find it harder in Class Three. Play It finished strongly widest out to snatch second travelling three deep fourth from the rear. He's hard to get right but the removal of blinkers appeared to help. Master Bernini stayed on well following a midfield run to just miss the Quinella spot. He's gone well at both tracks this term and a win isn't far away. Charity Wings assumed the lead 250m out after stalking the leader from a wide gate and only lost a placing late. He's caught the eye in his past two of four starts and will be hard to beat when next appearing. Five Stars Agent grudgingly gave way after working his way to the lead at the 1,200m from a wide gate. He makes his own luck in front and handles both surfaces and courses.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five: (268) - HIBISCUS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters

On arrival at the Start, it was noted that NAMJONG INVINCIBLE had lost its left front plate.

After this plate was refitted, NAMJONG INVINCIBLE was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

POLYMER LUCK shifted out at the start and bumped TRENDY WIN.

DUTCH WINDMILL began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, SUM WIN DRAGON shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of AMAZING FEELING which became unbalanced.

Passing the 1100 Metres, DUTCH WINDMILL and AMAZING FEELING raced tight.

Throughout the race, DUTCH WINDMILL travelled wide and without cover.

When questioned, J Moreira stated that it had been intended for POLYMER LUCK to be ridden behind the leaders if possible.

He said he rode his mount positively in the early stages to ensure that it was able to obtain a forward position.

He said in the run to the winning post on the first occasion both NAMJONG INVINCIBLE and FIVE STARS AGENT were being hard ridden to take up a forward position.

He said whilst it was available to him to continue to ride POLYMER LUCK along to maintain its position inside NAMJONG INVINCIBLE, he believed that he would have had to continue to pressure his mount and as NAMJONG INVINCIBLE had taken up a leading position, he elected to allow that horse to cross.

He said he was happy with this position passing the 1300 Metres, however, NAMJONG INVINCIBLE was then steadied to allow CHARITY WINGS to cross near the 1200 Metres which resulted in POLYMER LUCK racing further back in the field than had been intended.

He added that at the entrance to the Straight POLYMER LUCK was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of NAMJONG INVINCIBLE which shifted in.

He said, when being ridden out, POLYMER LUCK was inclined to lay in as it had done in some its races in the past.

He said this resulted in POLYMER LUCK being awkwardly placed outside the heels of CHARITY WINGS over the concluding stages, resulting in him being unable to properly test his mount all the way to the end of the race.

A veterinary inspection of HINYUEN SWIFTNESS and DUTCH WINDMILL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

POLYMER LUCK, ENORMOUS HONOUR and PLAY IT were sent for sampling.
