Dr Win Win advanced to the lead 280m out after slotting one off in second from a wide gate at the 1,050m and kept on gamely to hold off the fast-finishing Lucky Girl for a first win at his eighth start. He had put the writing on the wall in two prior starts this term and should remain competitive at the top of the grade. Lucky Girl flashed home from last to make it close on the wire. He was suited by the drop in class and switch to the Valley. Bank On Red stuck on a lot better a no-cover run in midfield. He isn't easy to get right and didn't beat much. Go Beauty Go ran on strongly down the outside after being snagged back from a wide gate in a positive first run at the Valley. He's always a chance at a mile but has reached his mark. Mister Monte stuck on better following a prominent run. He appears from his two runs this term to have improved for his new trainer and might be able to get away with a race in Class Four following a downgrade.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (143) - DORDENMA HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters

MASTER GOLD began awkwardly and then shortly after the start was bumped by WINWIN RUBY which shifted in.

SWOT WINDICATOR shifted in at the start and bumped ART OF RAW.

Shortly after the start, GO BEAUTY GO (T Berry) was steadied when crowded for room between MIGHTY MAVERICK and MISTER MONTE which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.

After the race, T Berry reported that it had been intended for GO BEAUTY GO to be ridden in a forward position, however, after losing ground in this incident, he elected to shift GO BEAUTY GO across behind runners to obtain cover.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages, MISTER MONTE failed to show early speed and approaching the winning post on the first occasion was steadied in order to obtain a position with cover, however, was left racing wide and without cover.

After the 1100 Metres, MISTER MONTE was allowed to improve into a more forward position, however, continued to travel wide and without cover.

In the early stages, LUCKY GIRL was steadied to obtain cover.

For some distance passing the winning post on the first occasion, MASTER GOLD proved very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions when being checked away from the heels of TRAVEL DATUK.

Then approaching the 1100 Metres, MASTER GOLD was checked away from the heels of TRAVEL DATUK which was awkwardly placed close to the heels of LOTUS BREEZE.

ART OF RAW, which was following MASTER GOLD, was inconvenienced in consequence.

LUCKY GIRL got its head up when travelling keenly after the 1200 Metres.

Shortly after entering the Straight, WINWIN RUBY and ART OF RAW bumped.

Approaching the 200 Metres, WINWIN RUBY raced tight between ART OF RAW and SWOT WINDICATOR.

Near the 150 Metres, MIGHTY MAVERICK was momentarily steadied away from the heels of GO BEAUTY GO which shifted in.

A short distance later, LUCKY GIRL, which was closing off the race strongly, was shifted out away from the heels of BANK ON RED after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse.

T Berry was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to keep his mounts on a straight course.

Near the 150 Metres, ART OF RAW was shifted to the inside of LOTUS BREEZE in an attempt to obtain clear running after being unable to shift to the outside of that horse due to WINWIN RUBY racing to the outside of ART OF RAW.

For a short distance after this, ART OF RAW had some difficulty obtaining clear running between LOTUS BREEZE and TRAVEL DATUK.

Close to the finishing line, SWOT WINDICATOR was shifted out away from the heels of WINWIN RUBY.

A veterinary inspection of WINNER RUBY immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right hind leg.

Before being allowed to race again, WINWIN RUBY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of MIGHTY MAVERICK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

WINWIN RUBY, DR WIN WIN and LUCKY GIRL were sent for sampling.
