Recap by phillip woo

Raging favourite Generous Heart came from midfield to overhaul Lang Tai Sing 30m out for a first win at his 10th start after placing in four earlier runs. Expect him to hold his own in Class Three off a light weight. Lang Tai Sing was collared late after stalking a slow pace one off the fence from a wide gate. The race played into his hands but is likely near a bottom. Kwaichung Brothers closed well two from the right following a patient ride beyond midfield on the fence. It was a good run with the pace against him and he looks clearly up to Class Four now following a bottom grade success last month. I'm A Witness was on his tippy toes 100m out after getting his own way in front from a wide gate. He's certainly got the ability to get away with a race at this level. Leisured Feet came up one paced after over racing sitting handy in the run. He needed the run carrying top weight first time under the lights.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five: (123) - JACKSON HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

On arrival at the Start, C Schofield expressed concern regarding the action of SALSA BROTHERS.

SALSA BROTHERS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was lame in its left front leg and as such was not suitable to race.

Acting on this advice, SALSA BROTHERS was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.

Before being allowed to race again, SALSA BROTHERS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Shortly after the start, WONDERFUL TIGER got its head up when being shifted in across the heels of ENJOY LIFE.

From a wide barrier, ARGENTUM was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Making the first turn near the 1050 Metres, LEISURED FEET got its head on the side and lay in away from I'M A WITNESS and in doing so bumped MASSIVE MOVE, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.

For a considerable distance after the 900 Metres, WONDERFUL TIGER proved very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions when being checked away from the heels of KWAICHUNG BROTHERS.

Shortly after entering the Straight, ENJOY LIFE was shifted to the inside of KWAICHUNG BROTHERS when that horse was shifted out to obtain clear running.

A veterinary inspection of PEARL WARM WARM and ENJOY LIFE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

GENEROUS HEART and LANG TAI SING were sent for sampling.
