On a lightning fast surface, Jade Theatre came on nicely after a deep run in midfield to run down Extremely Fun 100m out for a first win at his sixth start following a switch to the Valley after putting the writing on the wall in two prior start. He's always worked well and looks ready to take the next step higher. Extremely Fun poked his head in front 150m out after chasing the leaders in third and found one better on the day. He's always a chance over this Valley trip. Post-time favourite Cheer Win closed late after travelling third from the rear to fill a placing. At three years of age, he's likely got room for improvement. Early favourite Best Step kept on well despite working forward from a tricky gate to park outside the leader You Read My Mind. It was a good run in defeat and will shortly be adding two earlier wins from five starts. You Read My Mind grudgingly gave way after setting a good pace up front. He has been racing better of late but likely need to make use of a claimer's allowance. Gracydad can be forgiven for this run as his rider lost his irons.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (732)-STAUNTON HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Metres

LOTUS BREEZE began only fairly and the was crowded for room between JADE THEATRE and PRIMERO which shifted out.

From wide barriers, IRON BOY and OUR HERO were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Making the first turn near the 1050 Metres, the saddle of Apprentice M F Poon (GRACYDAD) shifted considerably to the right, resulting in him losing the use of initially his left iron and further around the first turn the effective use of his right iron, causing Apprentice Poon to be severely disadvantaged and unable to ride out GRACYDAD for the remainder of the race.

Making the turn approaching the 1000 Metres, CHEER WIN got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of PRIMERO.

Passing the 900 Metres, EXTREMELY FUN raced tight between BEST STEP and YOU READ MY MIND.

At the entrance to the Straight, GRACYDAD shifted out and bumped PRIMERO which became unbalanced.

Passing the 100 Metres, GRACYDAD, which was unable to be ridden out properly, PRIMERO and IRON BOY were all crowded for room between I'M A WITNESS (K C Ng) and OUR HERO (Apprentice H T Mo), both of which shifted ground.

Both K C Ng and Apprentice Mo were severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that they make a greater effort than they did on this occasion to keep their mounts on a straight course.

A veterinary inspection of LOTUS BREEZE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CHEER WIN, JADE THEATRE and EXTREMELY FUN were sent for sampling.

GENERAL:

1.

After the running of Race 1, the track classification was officially changed from "Good' to "Good to Firm".

This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.

As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 1 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm".

11 June 2017 Sha Tin Racemeeting - Race 9 (723) Approaching the 1300 Metres, ENERGETIC CLASS was crowded for room between SUNNY WAY and REGENCY BO BO (J Moreira) which shifted out when being ridden along.

J Moreira was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to keep his mounts on a straight course in similar circumstances.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 11 June 2017 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of ENCORE BOY, ACTUARIAT, MASSIVE MOVE, SNOWHOOVES, SMART BOY, SILLY BUDDIES, ROCHFORD, BEST REWARD, GARLIC YEAH, PO CHING TREASURE, INFINITY ENDEAVOUR, MASTER ALBERT, PERPETUAL JOYANCE, FANTASTIC EIGHT, BEAT THE CLOCK, LIMITLESS, PERPETUAL TREASURE, ARIZONA BLIZZARD, REGENCY BO BO, CLASSIC EMPEROR, ENERGETIC CLASS, GO BEAUTY GO and SMILING CHARM revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of LUCKY MASTER, FANTASTIC SHOW, IVICTORY, NOBLE DE BOY, SUPER SWEET ORANGE, REWARDING FLYER, YOURTHEWONFORME, JOLLY BOUNTIFUL, HIGH ENERGY, DINOZZO, ROCKETEER, ANTICIPATION, LAUGH OUT LOUD, SAM'S LOVE, BOOMING DELIGHT, EASTERN EXPRESS, MARVEL TRIBE, PINGWU SPARK, FORTUNE BO BO, DRAGON MASTER, MONEY BOY, LUCKY GUY, MONGOLIAN KING and INTREPIC (4.6.17) proved negative.

Riding Change As N Callan could not make the weight on MR RIGHT in Race 4, permission was given for U Rispoli to be substituted as the rider of that horse on 12 June 2017.



2.

Fine Race 4: Trainer L Ho: $2,000 for failing to contact N Callan regarding this ride prior to declaring him as the rider of MR RIGHT.
