Race Four: (592)-SPORTS FOR ALL HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 4 - 1650Metres
GRAN MASTER was slow to begin.JE PENSE began awkwardly.
CROWN AVENUE began only fairly.
From the outside barriers, SUPER EURO STAR and TERRIFIC MASTER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn near the 1400 Metres, CROWN AVENUE shifted out abruptly away from the heels of SUPER TALENT, resulting in I'M THE WON FOR U being severely checked and TRAVEL AMBASSADOR also being checked.
GRAN MASTER, which was following, was severely checked away from the heels of I'M THE WON FOR U and shifted out abruptly and in doing so bumped the hindquarters of SUPER EURO STAR which became unbalanced.
Throughout the race, MEGATRON travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, Z Purton (TRAVEL AMBASSADOR) stated that after his mount was bumped by HELEN'S CHOICE making the turn near the 700 Metres, TRAVEL AMBASSADOR came off the bridle and then did not close off the race as he expected.
A veterinary inspection of TRAVEL AMBASSADOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

TRAVEL AMBASSADOR, IMPERIAL SEAL and SUPER TALENT were sent for sampling.

Imperial Seal just held off the fast-finishing Super Talent after wearing down leader Cape The Faith in deep stretch following a one-off run in second for a third win this term in his first outing on the surface. He was suited by the slow pace but should remain competitive at the top of the class if they make use of a claimer. Super Talent came on well travelling prominently along the fence to make it close on the wire. The improved run was due to the wet track conditions. Cape The Faith was nicely rated on the lead and grudgingly gave way late in a vastly-improved run with the claim well utilized and switch to the dirt. He'll need to follow up on this effort but had fallen considerably from an opening mark of 78. Plunged late, Crown Avenue made only a mild bid travelling fore of midfield in a better effort following a gear change and switch to the dirt. Wait for him in Class Five. Debutant Gran Master caught the eye with a good run late despite unsuitable fractions after trailing the field until the 250m following a slow break and having to check off heels 1,450m out. He appears to have some ability and should get further than the mile on either surface when fully mature. Favourite Travel Ambassador didn't let down as expected after travelling fourth from the rear. Put the blame on a slow pace and wet track.
