Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (492)-KONG SIN WAN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Metres
GOLDEN PARTNERS was crowded for room on jumping between AUDACITY and BLISS CARTEL which shifted out.MEDIC SWORDSMAN began only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of SWEET BEAN which shifted in.
From the outside barrier, PRECISIONCRAFTSMAN was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From a wide barrier, WONDERFUL CHASER was steadied in the early stages in an endeavour to obtain cover, however, was left racing wide and without cover until passing the 800 Metres and subsequently finished tailed out.
The performance of WONDERFUL CHASER was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, WONDERFUL CHASER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, AUDACITY and WONDERFUL CHASER bumped.
At the entrance to the Straight, AUDACITY and GOLDEN PARTNERS brushed.
Passing the 300 Metres, MY FOLKS was disappointed for running between CATCHMEIFYOUCAN and MY BLESSING which shifted in.
Approaching the 200 Metres, MY FOLKS was steadied when disappointed for running between CATCHMEIFYOUCAN and AUDACITY which, after being inclined to shift in away from GOLDEN PARTNERS (J Moreira), was then taken in by that horse a short distance later.
Then passing the 200 Metres, AUDACITY was shifted to the outside of GOLDEN PARTNERS to obtain clear running.
J Moreira was advised that whilst AUDACITY had contributed to this incident, nonetheless he was severely reprimanded and told to ensure that he must make every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances.
A veterinary inspection of SWEET BEAN and WONDERFUL CHASER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GOLDEN PARTNERS and AUDACITY were sent for sampling.

Golden Partners wasn't as bad into stride and came on nicely when asked to improve at the 500m to get up 150m out for the win as the favourite with a key riding change to Joao Moreira. He'll remain in the grade and can score another. Plunged late, Audacity finished nicely from midfield to mow down My Blessing for second in a vastly-improved run after 10 never likely efforts at Sha Tin. The switch to the Valley appears to have turned his career around. My Blessing was given a lovely ride to land in the one-out, one-back from a wide gate but found a couple too smart in the end after hitting the front 200m out. The longer trip following a mile win was a tad too far. Yourthewonforme ran on late after travelling fourth from rear to fill a Quartet spot. He only pops up on odd occasions. Holy Unicorn caught the eye on the dirt last start but only produced a grinding effort following a box-seat run here. He's still got youth on his side and his trainer Almond Lee's done well in the short period of time he's had him. Bliss Cartel didn't quite get the 1,800m but was softened up front by Catchmeifyoucan. He's more effective at a mile.
