Raging favourite D B Pin drew clear after hitting the front 170m after chasing the leader to notch a fourth win from seven starts. He remains a sprinter to follow at both tracks. Punted late Charity Joy stayed on well two from the right following a prominent run to grab second 50m out to build on a last-start win over the 1,200m. He's always a chance sprinting overt the course. Specked at odds Beauty Master grudgingly gave way after leading from a tricky gate carrying a lighter weight following a rise in grade. He's a 1,000m specialist but is near his mark. Jetwings closed off well near the inside after missing the start in a pleasing first run in nearly 14-months following a tendon injury. If he pulls up fine, he'll be one to keep safe when next stepping out. Diamond Master held his ground following a prominent run along the fence. It was a decent run following health issues in October but is better in a 60-80 range sprint. Back In Black was again disappointing when failing to lift following a midfield run.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five: (440)-SAI KUNG HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1000Metres

On arrival at the Start, it was noted that DIAMOND MASTER had lost its right front plate.

After this plate was refitted, DIAMOND MASTER was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

JETWINGS was slow to begin.

CITY WINNER began only fairly.

Shortly after the start, D B PIN and CHARITY JOY bumped.

D B PIN then shifted in and bumped BACK IN BLACK which became unbalanced.

From a wide barrier, IRON BOY was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Approaching the 700 Metres, TRIUMPHANT JEWEL was steadied away from the heels of BACK IN BLACK (K Teetan) which shifted in when not properly clear.

K Teetan was reprimanded.

For some distance approaching and passing the 600 Metres, DIAMOND MASTER got its head up when proving difficult to settle and awkwardly placed closes to the heels of D B PIN.

D B PIN made the Home Turn awkwardly.

Throughout the race, FLYING MOOCHI travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of TRIUMPHANT JEWEL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

D B PIN and CHARITY JOY were sent for sampling.
