Early favourite Powermax wore down Circuit King 60m out for a second straight win after enjoying a lovely run in the box seat following a terrific start. He remains a sprinter to follow up in grade off a lightweight. Fancied late to jump favourite, Circuit King found one too good yet again after crossing to the lead 850m out from a wide gate. He's in the right grade but may require a claimer's allowance to get him over the final hurdle. Cour Valant finished well following a rails run in midfield to miss out on second by a whisker for a fourth placing from seven outings this term. He'll be winning shortly. Midnite Promise defied a deep run travelling worse than midfield to get the bob down to finish a distant fourth in a surprise result despite stepping back sharply in distance. It was a good effort but he's very unreliable. Love Chunghwa ran on steadily from behind midfield. He'll need to drop further in the handicaps. Firming late, Clever Spirit was struggling approaching the final bend after sitting one off in second. He's nothing special but likely needed the run following a break and is better at Sha Tin.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (403)-SPORTS ROAD HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 4 - 1200Metres

POWERMAX began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped LOVE CHUNGHWA.

POWERMAX then shifted in and bumped COUR VALANT, causing both COUR VALANT and POWERMAX to become unbalanced.

From wide barriers, VICTORY MUSIC, DON??T MISS and M REBORN were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Making the first turn near the 1000 Metres, after being ridden along in the early stages, HASTA LA VISTA was steadied to obtain a position closer to the rail.

Making the turn approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, COUR VALANT got its head on the side and lay out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of POWERMAX.

Making the turn after the 1000 Metres, LOVE CHUNGHWA got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of ELITE EXPRESS.

Approaching the 500 Metres, POWERMAX momentarily raced in restricted room inside CLEVER SPIRIT which got its head on the side and lay in behind CIRCUIT KING.

Making the Home Turn, LOVE CHUNGHWA was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ELITE EXPRESS.

Throughout the race, NATURAL TEAM travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.

A veterinary inspection of NATURAL TEAM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CIRCUIT KING lost its left front plate after the race.

POWERMAX and CIRCUIT KING were sent for sampling.
