Daring Fit wore down All My Gain 50m out following a one-off run in third for second straight win. He's still open to improvement and can hold his own up in grade off a light weight. All My Gain kept on nicely after being hustled to lead from a wide gate. He's ready to win if he remains in the grade. Favourite Star Of Patch just out-finished Robust Momentum for a placing following a rails run in midfield. The rise in weight and softer ground conditions appeared to take the sting out of his usual late burst but he's still a work in progress. Robust Momentum stuck on all right after peeling out for a clear run 200m out following a handy trip to make it close for third. It was a decent run on the back of a last-start win but he doesn't have many points in hand. Superior Boy made only a minor bid following a one-off run in midfield. He continues to be anchored by the big weight. High Volatility ran on without menacing after travelling behind midfield from a tricky gate. He needs to draw a better gate.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five: (375)-LUCKY STAR HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres

N Rawiller, U Rispoli and K Teetan were all reminded of their obligation to present themselves in the Parade Ring by the required time.

WHISTLE UP began only fairly and shortly after the start was crowded for room between ROBUST MOMENTUM and ORIONIDS which shifted out.

DON WONGCHOY, which was leaning on the outside of its barrier as the start was effected, began awkwardly and then shortly after the start, from the outside barrier, was shifted across behind runners.

Also from a wide barrier, DYNAMIC LIONS was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Despite being vigorously ridden along in the early stages, HIGH VOLATILITY failed to muster speed.

After the 1000 Metres, STAR OF PATCH was steadied away from the heels of SUPERIOR BOY (J Moreira) which shifted in when not properly clear.

J Moreira was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

Near the 200 Metres, ORIONIDS got its head on the side and shifted in under pressure, resulting in its rider having to momentarily stop riding and straighten.

Throughout the race, BOSSIEE travelled wide and without cover.

The performance of DRAGON DANCE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Having regard to DRAGON DANCE??s previous racing performances, the Stewards ruled that the horse must undergo a series of consecutive barrier trials (not less than three) and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

A veterinary inspection of ORIONIDS, DRAGON DANCE and HIGH VOLATILITY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

STAR OF PATCH, DARING FIT and ALL MY GAIN were sent for sampling.
