Recap by phillip woo

Standby starter Happy Agility finished strongly from behind midfield after gaining a clear run at the 200m to win going away 80m out to defy the handicapper's 10-point penalty for back-to-back wins as the favourite. It wasn't a strong Class Three but should remain competitive cemented in the middle of the grade. Convincible ran on well from midfield to give the Quinella some value at only his third local appearance. He had paraded well in the paddock and is headed in the right direction. Top Score stayed on nicely after travelling fore of midfield along the fence for a placing in an encouraging debut. He'll be winning shortly with a bit more racing experience. Five Up High looked the winner 200m out following a box-seat run but knocked up 100m out. Plunged late Favouritism should have gone closer if not hampered 100m out when making a bold move from the back. He's bred on the dam's side to get much longer.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (215)-CHEVALIER E & M ENGINEERING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Metres

LITTLE GIANT was withdrawn on 25.11.16 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left front foot) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter HAPPY AGILITY.

Before being allowed to race again, LITTLE GIANT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

HAPPY AGILITY began only fairly, PROUD SKY began only fairly and shortly after the start shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of HONEST HORSE which became unbalanced.

From the outside barrier, FAVOURITISM was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Passing the 1100 Metres, PROUD SKY was steadied away from the heels of HONEST HORSE.

In the early stages, PROUD SKY raced greenly and making the first turn approaching the 900 Metres shifted out and raced tight inside FAVOURITISM.

Making the first turn approaching the 900 Metres, HAPPY AGILITY shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of CONVINCIBLE.

HAPPY AGILITY then raced tight inside CONVINCIBLE and near the 800 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TOP SCORE.

Near the 650 Metres, PAKISTAN BABY commenced to travel keenly and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of CONVINCIBLE.

Near the 300 Metres, Apprentice H T Mo (GO BABY GO) dropped his whip.

As this was the second occasion during this racemeeting that Apprentice Mo had dropped his whip, he was spoken to regarding this matter.

Near the 100 Metres, FAVOURITISM was steadied away from the heels of TOP SCORE (N Rawiller) which shifted in.

N Rawiller was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to keep his mounts on a straight course.

N Rawiller was further advised that this was the second occasion during this race meeting that he was spoken to regarding allowing his mounts to shift ground under pressure.

A veterinary inspection of HONEST HORSE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

HAPPY AGILITY and CONVINCIBLE were sent for sampling.
