It doesn't look to be a strong form race. Sharp Hunter let down well after a midfield run to get up 120m out for only a second win from 31 starts. He's very honest over this Valley trip but is likely to find things harder following this win. Yourthewonforme stayed on well to grab second in deep straight after having to switch off heels 180m out following a patient ride fourth from the rear. He'll likely remain competitive up to a mile off a lightweight in this grade. Plunged late Yo-Yo Da had every chance following a prominent run. Smart Salute came from last to inject some value into the Quartet despite an unfavourable pace. It was a vastly-improved run after doing little in 10 prior starts but he'll need to prove it wasn't a fluke. Ace King found nothing when asked for an effort after sitting on the back of a slow pace. The 11-point penalty following a 1,000m win at Sha Tin first-up this term will likely anchor him for the time being.

Race Four: (079)-KC.

INTERCONTINENTAL LIMOUSINE HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 4 - 1200Metres

After being loaded, ACE KING reared on a number of occasions, resulting in S Clipperton being dislodged without incident.

Before being allowed to race again, ACE KING will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

WILD BOY shifted out at the start and bumped OCTAL LUCK.

From wide barriers, KIROV and SMART SALUTE were steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners.

Near the 1150 Metres, ROCKET LET WIN, which was ridden along after beginning only fairly, was crowded for room inside WILD BOY which was taken in by OCTAL LUCK.

At the entrance to the Straight, ACE KING, which had its head on the side and was laying out, was bumped by OCTAL LUCK which shifted out into clear running.

Passing the 300 Metres, WILD BOY raced tight between YO-YO DA and ACE KING which was racing tight outside OCTAL LUCK.

Then passing the 150 Metres, WILD BOY, after continuing to race tight, was hampered when further crowded for room between YO-YO DA and ACE KING, both of which shifted slight ground.

Near the 250 Metres, ARM RUNDA shifted in and bumped LONDON MASTER, resulting in LONDON MASTER becoming unbalanced.

Passing the 200 Metres, YOURTHEWONFORME was steadied and shifted to the outside of SHARP HUNTER when disappointed for running between that horse and YO-YO DA which shifted out.

Passing the 150 Metres, SMART SALUTE was shifted in away from the heels of YOURTHEWONFORME to continue improving.

For the majority of the race, ROBUST MOMENTUM travelled wide and without cover.

When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of ARM RUNDA, J Moreira stated that he had to make considerable use of the horse in the early stages to obtain a forward positon from barrier

He said after crossing to race outside the leader LONDON MASTER approaching the 800 Metres, ARM RUNDA travelled fairly, however, after coming under pressure in the early part of the Straight weakened noticeably.

He added when being passed by other runners, ARM RUNDA was reluctant to stretch out and, in his opinion, is immature at this early stage of its career.

A veterinary inspection of ARM RUNDA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
