Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (038)-TSUEN LOK HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 3 - 1400Metres
PAKISTAN STAR was slow to begin.From a wide barrier, ACTUARIAT was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
CITRON SPIRIT was also steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Despite being vigorously ridden along in the early stages, TEN FLAMES failed to muster speed.
RUN FORREST made the first turn near the 900 Metres awkwardly.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres, KA YING KID got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of COLOSSUS.
TEN FLAMES, which was following KA YING KID, commenced to prove very difficult to settle and after being checked away from the heels of KA YING KID got its head on the side and shifted onto the heels of AMBER DRAGON.
After the 900 Metres, RADIANT STEED was left racing wide and without cover.
CITRON SPIRIT was badly held up for clear running from rounding the Home Turn until passing the 250 Metres.
In the Straight, SUPER LEADER hung in and proved difficult to ride.
Passing the 150 Metres, RADIANT STEED was shifted to the outside of KA YING KID after being disappointed for running inside that horse.
RADIANT STEED was then steadied passing the 100 Metres when disappointed for running between KA YING KID which shifted out and SUPER LEADER which continued to hang in.
A veterinary inspection of RUN FORREST immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
PAKISTAN STAR and MARVEL HERO were sent for sampling.

Omission from Racing Incidents Report of 11 September 2016 Sha Tin Racemeeting - Race 10 (28) When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of UNIQUE JOYOUS, Apprentice K K Chiong stated that after being interfered with at the start which resulted in UNIQUE JOYOUS racing back in the field, the horse did not stride out comfortably in the early stages.
She said she was obliged to ride the horse along throughout the race to have it maintain its position at the back of the field.
She added she switched UNIQUE JOYOUS to the outside of runners in the Straight but rather than quicken, the horse finished off the race only one-paced.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 11 September 2016 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of LEAN JOURNEY, ACE KING, PERFECT SMART, FAIRY TWINS, RUMINARE, GOOD FOR YOU, SNOWHOOVES, SMILING GLORY, LANSBURY, REWARDING FLYER, MAGNETISM, REGENCY DARLING, LUCKY DAY, LOTUS BREEZE, ABLE DEED, UNIQUE HAPPIEST, SKY HERO, GOAL FOR GOLD, TWIN DELIGHT, JOYFUL TRINITY, CALIFORNIA JOY and REDWOOD BABY revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of SEASONS KING, HAPPY SOUND, PRINCE FALCON, RED PEONY, HAY GO LUCKY, LUCKY YEAR, KEY WITNESS, BEAUTY MASTER, ART OF SUCCESS, TEAM SWEET, RUN FORREST, REGENCY BABY, SMILING GLORY, ROUNDABOUT, BOLD STITCH, WINFULL PATROL, ADVENTURER, LOOKS LIKE THE CAT, GREEN CARD, MULTIMAX, CHARITY GLORY, BABA MAMA, SMART BOY, SPICY SURE, FLYING MOOCHI and MERION (3.9.16) proved negative.

Raging favourite Pakistan Star lived up to all the hype when coming from last and widest out at the head of the straight following a slow start to get up 100m out for a second win from as many starts. He's winning on raw talent and will only get better when stepping over further. Marvel Hero only found a superstar too good after hitting the front 150m out following a rails run worse than midfield. He was clearly second best and off this performance will be hard to beat when next stepping out. Kingsfield kept on gamely after leading from a wide gate for a placing to add to an improved run in July. Care Free Prince will likely come on for this run after having to press the leader from a wide gate. Citron Spirit closed off nicely after pulling into the open approaching the 200m.
