Recap by phillip woo

Adventurer was much too good despite a rise in grade to pick up a third straight pillarto- post win. He appears to have matured further during the break and could head a fair bit higher. There wasn't much separating the next handful of runners with Looks Like The Cat producing a much-improved run to to snatch second. Flying Force ran well in defeat after ducking about for a clear run following a troubled start. He'll be hard to beat when he tackles 1,200m. Beauty Connection lived up to an improved run at his final start to just miss a placing following a prominent run. He too will prefer a longer sprint. Goal For Gold was jumping out of his skin late down the far outside after badly trailing the field over an unsuitable trip. He had nothing to carry but will merit attention when stepping over a further trip. Fish N' Chips is on his mark. Travel Comforts is more effective around a bend at the Valley or on dirt. Favourite Winfull Patrol had no excuses.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (007)-COTTON TREE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Metres

Whilst in the saddling stalls, FISH N' CHIPS had its right front plate refitted.

FISH N' CHIPS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

LOOKS LIKE THE CAT shifted out abruptly on jumping despite the efforts of its rider, resulting in FLYING FORCE and DIAMOND DRAGON being badly crowded for room inside FISH N' CHIPS.

BEAUTY CONNECTION began awkwardly.

Approaching the 800 Metres, MR RIGHT got its head on the side and lay out, resulting in EASY TOUCH being awkwardly placed outside the heels of MR RIGHT.

Passing the 600 Metres, ENDEARING lost ground when reluctant to maintain its position between MR RIGHT and FLYING FORCE.

Passing the 400 Metres, MR RIGHT shifted in and inconvenienced DIAMOND DRAGON.

Approaching the 200 Metres, WINFULL PATROL was steadied when momentarily crowded for room outside FLYING FORCE (D Whyte).

D Whyte was advised to exercise more care.

Passing the 150 Metres, DIAMOND DRAGON was shifted in away from the heels of FISH N' CHIPS to obtain clear running.

After the race, J Moreira stated that LUCKY CELEBRITY did not feel comfortable in its action at any stage of the race and even after the race did not feel as though it was stretching out properly.

A veterinary inspection of LUCKY CELEBRITY immediately following the race, including an endoscopic examination, showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY CELEBRITY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of MR RIGHT and WINFULL PATROL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

WINFULL PATROL, ADVENTURER and LOOKS LIKE THE CAT were sent for sampling.
