Globe Trotter jumped alertly to lead with a tongue tie, was clear by two lengths upon straightening and just held off favourite Never Better to land a betting plunge. Never Better got going late following a rails run in midfield to notch a fourth runner-up result this term. Mint Master kept on gamely at a price for a placing following a dream run. Cour Valant settled worse than midfield along the fence, straightened three deep, switched outside Mint Master for a clear run at the 150m and just failed to get up for a placing. Massive Millennium ran on steadily near the inside without menacing after travelling second from the rear. Debutant House Of Fun settled one off the fence travelling worse than midfield following a sluggish break from a wide gate, straightened three from the right and only made a mild bid. He's a nice looking sort and will come on for the experience. Master Steed was given every chance following a handy run one off the fence, but failed to lift when push came to shove. Sensationally backed, Kirov made some ground without threatening down the outside after travelling third from the rear from a wide gate. Sparkling Talent pressed forward to sit deep without cover near the speed from a wide gate and was gone soon after straightening.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (633)-DEAUVILLE AUGUST YEARLING SALES HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 4 - 1200Metres

Shortly after the start, STORM KID was checked when crowded for room between FORZA AVANTI and MASSIVE MILLENNIUM which after initially shifting out of its own accord was then taken out further by MASTER STEED.

Also shortly after the start, NEVER BETTER shifted out, resulting in STRIKING STAR being crowded for room inside MINT MASTER.

From the outside barriers, HOUSE OF FUN and KIROV were steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners.

Near the 850 Metres, STRIKING STAR hung in and was checked away from the heels of NEVER BETTER.

COUR VALANT, which was racing to the inside of STRIKING STAR, was inconvenienced in consequence.

MASSIVE MILLENNIUM, which was following STRIKING STAR, then commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of STRIKING STAR.

STRIKING STAR continued to lay in for some distance after this incident.

In the Straight, particularly over the final 200 Metres, HOUSE OF FUN raced greenly and shifted out on a number of occasions.

Passing the 200 Metres, COUR VALANT was shifted out away from the heels of MINT MASTER which was shifting out under pressure.

Throughout the race, SPARKLING TALENT travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of KIROV immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

GLOBE TROTTER and NEVER BETTER were sent for sampling.
