Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (228)-HAIPHONG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres
After being loaded, FILL POWER became fractious and lunged at the front gates, resulting in the gates opening.When being restrained, FILL POWER then reared up, resulting in its rider, C K Tong, being dislodged and FILL POWER subsequently leaving the barrier stalls riderless.
FILL POWER then completed a circuit of the course.
Acting on veterinary advice that FILL POWER was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, FILL POWER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HORSE SUPREMO and LOVELY NAUGHTY began only fairly and then shortly after the start HORSE SUPREMO was crowded for room between LOVELY NAUGHTY and GRAND PLUS which shifted out abruptly.
In this incident, LOVELY NAUGHTY became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by HORSE SUPREMO.
CRIMSON GLORY shifted out at the start and bumped MISSION POSSIBLE.
When left racing wide in the early stages, MOLLY'S JADE STAR was steadied after the 900 Metres and shifted across behind runners.
Rounding the Home Turn, HELEN'S CHOICE raced tight between MISSION POSSIBLE and TRAVEL NUMBER ONE.
Near the 350 Metres, HELEN'S CHOICE shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of MISSION POSSIBLE which became unbalanced.
Throughout the race, EVERYONE'S CHOICE travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of HORSE SUPREMO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GRAND PLUS, LOVELY NAUGHTY and EVERYONE'S CHOICE were sent for sampling.

Lovely Naughty was gifted an uncontested lead after finding the front 820m out and kept up a strong gallop for the win. Everyone's Choice kept on gamely after a deep run without cover near the speed to give the Quinella some spice. Favourite Grand Plus ran on steadily following a prominent run along the rails to just hold onto a placing. Helen's Choice eased back after jumping well to settle one off the fence behind midfield, rounded the final bend five deep and finished strongly to just miss a placing. He's a winner in waiting. Molly's Jade Star closed off well widest out after travelling near the rear. Confucius Spirit was grinding away without menacing after a deep run in midfield. Mission Possible made some ground with one wider out after travelling deep beyond midfield in a pleasing second-up run on the dirt. Travel Number One had his chance and failed to lift following a rail's run in midfield. Likely leader Horse Supremo was a non-factor after missing the break.
