Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (096)-LUKFOOK JEWELLERY PT GRACEFUL COLLECTION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres
VIVACIOUS WINNER and FAIR WIND were slow to begin.KING OF REASON blundered at the start.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, FAIR WIND failed to muster speed.
From wide barriers, SEASONS KING and HAYMAKER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the first turn near the 700 Metres, VIVACIOUS WINNER got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of SUPER KING STAR, resulting in LEAN JOURNEY being hampered and taken wider.
SEASONS KING, which was following, was hampered in consequence.
Throughout the race, HAPPY MOMENTS travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, D Whyte stated that he was unable to offer any excuse for the disappointing performance of SUPER KING STAR.
He said he was able to obtain a good trailing position behind MODERN FORTUNE, however, SUPER KING STAR came under pressure well before the Home Turn and then was disappointing in the manner in which it weakened in the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of SUPER KING STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MODERN FORTUNE, HEARTS KEEPER and HORSE SUPREMO were sent for sampling.

In the battle of 10-pound claimers in the end, Kei Chiong Ka-Kei on Hearts Keeper was just able to wear down Jack Wong Ho-nam on Horse Supremo by a whisker for the win following a one-off run in second. Horse Supremo easily found the front from gate seven, cornered a length on top and lost victory on the wire in his season debut. He'll be hard to beat when next stepping out. Highland Dragon kept on gamely following a box-seat run for a placing. Favourite Modern Fortune rounded the final bend five deep with every chance following a handy run with cover but peaked on his run 150m out. King Of Reason settled three back along the fence after stumbling out of the gate, peeled into the open six deep soon after straightening and made a mild bid without menacing. Learn Journey made some ground four deep after travelling fourth from the rear in his initial run on the surface. Super King Star weakened to finish at the tail with three wider out after making his run one off the fence.
