Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (547)-THE HONG KONG JOCKEY CLUB COMMUNITY TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 2 - 2200Metres
PREMIUM CHAMPION began awkwardly and then shortly after the start was bumped by THUNDER FANTASY.After this, PREMIUM CHAMPION was shifted across behind runners.
From wide barriers, LUCKY OMENS, VANILLA and ASHKIYR were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
DYNAMISM was also steadied in the early stages.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, SAVVY NATURE and WAYFOONG EXPRESS raced tight.
Making the turn after passing the winning post on the first occasion, SUNNY YING got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of CHATER DREAM (Apprentice H N Wong) which shifted in when not properly clear.
Apprentice Wong was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future.
For some distance after the 1500 Metres, VANILLA was awkwardly placed close to the heels of DYNAMISM which got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of SAVVY NATURE.
Then passing the 1400 Metres, VANILLA shifted out abruptly away from the heels of DYNAMISM.
A veterinary inspection of DYNAMISM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SAVVY NATURE, THUNDER FANTASY and TAKE TO THE LIMIT were sent for sampling.

Well-punted late, Thunder Fantasy settled effectively one-out, one-back, took off to hit the lead 800m out, cornered two lengths on top and stayed on well for a second win from six outings. Plunged late, Take To The Limit strolled forward to enjoy the box-seat, came one off upon straightening and kept on nicely off a light weight despite a rise in grade. Wayfoong Express settled midfield along the rails, straightened three deep and just out-finished Mr Gnocchi for a placing. Mr Gnocchi bided his time worse than midfield and one off the rails, swung the final bend with two wider out and finished nicely to just miss a placing. Savvy Nature made a steady bid widest out after travelling behind midfield and one off the rails as the favourite. Lucky Omens was ridden for luck from a wide gate and made some ground late near the inside without menacing. Chater Dream lost a placing 120m out after handing up the lead at the 800m. Dynamism only stayed on passed beaten rivals after travelling third from the rear. Bubble Chic weakened following a prominent run with cover to continue his disappointing run of form.
