Racing Incident Report
Race One: (543)-CLAP FOR YOUTH @ JC HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Metres
BAMBOO DANCE, which was leaning on the outside of its stall as the start was effected, was slow to begin.WINNING BOY began awkwardly.
GOOD FRIENDS MAGIC shifted out shortly after the start and bumped the hindquarters of SOLAR DRAGON.
From a wide barrier, YOUNG HAPPY was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the 900 Metres, GOOD FRIENDS MAGIC was checked and got its head up when crowded for room inside WINNING BOY which shifted in away from the heels of SOLAR DRAGON which was awkwardly placed behind WINNING EXPRESSO.
As the Stewards were satisfied that there was no carelessness exhibited on the part of any rider in this incident, no further action was taken.
Approaching the 800 Metres, FRIENDS OF YAN OI momentarily raced tight inside INTELLECTUAL GLIDE which shifted in marginally.
Passing the 300 Metres, SOLAR DRAGON was shifted out away from the heels of WINNING BOY.
Close to the finishing line, MEDIC SWORDSMAN raced tight between YOUNG HAPPY and BAMBOO DANCE which shifted out away from the heels of HAPPY KAISER.
Consequently MEDIC SWORDSMAN was not able to be ridden out to the end of the race.
Throughout the race, JOY TOGETHER travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
A veterinary inspection of JOY TOGETHER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
A veterinary inspection of MEDIC SWORDSMAN and SOLAR DRAGON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FIRE STARTER and WINNING BOY were sent for sampling.

Fire Starter enjoyed a favourable fourth along the rails, shifted into the clear three deep at the 400m, swept to the front 300m out and kept on gamely for a maiden win at his second start in Class Five. Winning Boy settled midfield near the rails after a slow break, pulled out four deep for a clear run at the 350m and was closing the gap with every stride. Happy Kaiser travelled fore of midfield and three deep with cover, swung the final bend with three wider out and got up 100m out for a placing. Bamboo Dance made his run at the tail of the field after a slow break, worked into the open four from the right at the 300m and finished up nicely to just grab a Quartet spot. Forest Colours made his run outside Bamboo Dance at the back, shifted furthest out at the 200m and was doing some nice work late. Young Happy settled fourth from the rear and was just out-dashed for a Quartet spot after straightening widest out. Friends Of Yan Oi made some ground near the inside after making his run one off the rails.
