Thunder Dash settled nearly three deep with cover behind midfield from a wide gate, angled into the clear with three wider out at the 350m and finished nicely to take control 100m out for a maiden win at his third outing. Unique Joyful bided his time fourth from the back along the rails, straightened four deep and got the gaps late to run down Rugby Diamond close to home for second. Rugby Diamond sat one off behind Trendy World, assumed the front 300m out and grudgingly gave way in an improved run with a gear change. Golden Gunners travelled deep with cover ahead of midfield, rounded the final bend six deep and stayed on all right to come out a clear cut fourth. Well-fancied newcomer Run Forrest peaked on his run 100m out after ranging up a place chance at the 250m following a rail's run in midfield. Specked late, Heavenisaracehorse travelled third from the rear and one off the rails, angled into the clear at the 350m and made some ground until coming up flat 100m out. Favourite Tracker settled effectively one-out, one-back, cornered five deep and was yielding ground 150m out.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (460)-FAY FAY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres

After being loaded, GOOD VIEW DELIGHTS became fractious and reared.

GOOD VIEW DELIGHTS was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

Before being allowed to race again, GOOD VIEW DELIGHTS will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial.

CASTLE KNIGHT began awkwardly and lost ground.

UNIQUE JOYFUL was crowded for room on jumping between NEXT JOURNEY and HEAVENISARACEHORSE, both of which shifted ground.

GOLDEN GUNNERS shifted in at the start and bumped RUGBY DIAMOND.

PENANG HALL began only fairly and was shifted across behind runners shortly after the start.

MY LEGEND was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

From the outside barrier, REGENCY DARLING was shifted across in the early stages to race behind horses and obtain cover, however, REGENCY DARLING travelled keenly and consequently raced wide.

REGENCY DARLING then got its head on the side and lay out near the 700 Metres and made the Home Turn awkwardly.

Making the turn after the 900 Metres, GOOD VIEW DELIGHTS travelled keenly.

GOOD VIEW DELIGHTS had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.

Passing the 200 Metres, RUN FORREST, which was inclined to lay in, was shifted to the inside of RUGBY DIAMOND to obtain clear running.

Throughout the race, NEXT JOURNEY travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of PENANG HALL and TRACKER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

TRACKER, THUNDER DASH and UNIQUE JOYFUL were sent for sampling.
