Race Two: (422)-CITIBANK CITIGOLD HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres
After being loaded, SAMMY'S EMPIRE became fractious, reared and momentarily got its right front leg over into the adjoining stall.SAMMY'S EMPIRE was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
Before being allowed to race again, SAMMY'S EMPIRE will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial.
LUCKY FOLLOW ME was slow to begin.
HELLO KIMBERLEY shifted out abruptly on jumping.
Shortly after the start, HEARTILY WINS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SAMMY'S EMPIRE after being taken out by THUNDERSTROKE.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, PALEPALE failed to muster speed.
Approaching and passing the 100 Metres, MODERN FORTUNE raced in restricted room inside HORSE SUPREMO which was awkwardly placed inside the heels of LOVELY NAUGHTY.
Throughout the race, DANEWIN TIGER travelled wide and without cover.
KINGSTON JUMBO and LOVELY NAUGHTY were sent for sampling.

Favourite Kingston Jumbo settled fourth along the rails, rallied four deep upon straightening and wore down late-fancied equal favourite Lovely Naughty 100m out for a third straight victory. Lovely Naughty settled one off in second, advanced to the front 250m out from the front-running Horse Supremo and found one too good in the end. Modern Fortune settled three back along the rails, stayed to the inside upon straightening and closed off well in his initial run on the dirt to run down Horse Supremo for a placing. Horse Supremo led narrowly coming to the final bend and was giving way 150m out. Hello Kimberley was ridden to hold a spot one off in third, rallied five deep upon straightening and kept on evenly over the final 150m. Heartily Wins made some ground four deep after travelling third last along the rails early on in an improved run with a drop in grade and switch to the dirt. Manipulation held his ground following a one-off run outside Modern Fortune. Lucky Follow Me made a mild bid after badly missing the kick. Sammy's Empire, who was vetted prior to the start when getting his feet strung up in the gates, tired in the run to the wire following a midfield run.
