Mr Award got up in the final few strides after box-seating for a sixth career victory with money coming for him late. Lyric Ace easily found the front from gate 12, swung the final bend two lengths on top and just failed to make it two wins on the trot. Ribot Legacy settled behind midfield and one off the rails, straightened four deep, switched further out for a clear run at the 100m and ran down Shanghai Pioneer for a placing. Specked late, Shanghai Pioneer stayed near the inside upon straightening after travelling third from the rear, loomed at least a place chance at the 150m and peaked on his run 50m out. Gracytom plugged on without menacing following a handy run along the rails, Trendiful travelled three deep with cover fourth from the back, swung the final bend widest out and made some headway without menacing. Bornfree stayed on passed beaten rivals three from the right upon straightening after making his run near the back from a wide gate. Favourite Trillion Treasure was ridden along to hold a position one off in second, rounded the final bend four-to-five deep with every chance and came up flat over the final 150m. Dark Core was disappointing when fading following a prominent run with cover.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (366)-WAI YIP HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1000Metres

GRACYTOM began only fairly.

TRENDIFUL shifted in at the start and bumped TRILLION TREASURE which became unbalanced.

SHANGHAI PIONEER and CHINA POWER bumped on jumping.

Near the 700 Metres, RIBOT LEGACY proved difficult to settle.

Rounding the Home Turn, RIBOT LEGACY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of DARK CORE.

Near the 150 Metres, LEELI'S STAR was awkwardly placed outside BORNFREE when brushed by that horse which shifted to the outside of DARK CORE to obtain clear running.

Throughout the race, TRILLION TREASURE travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of TRILLION TREASURE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

TRILLION TREASURE, MR AWARD and LYRIC ACE were sent for sampling.
