Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (326)-THE HONG KONG CLASSIC MILE - Hong Kong Group One - 1600Metres
As the start was effected, both ANTICIPATION and ARPINATI lifted their front feet off the ground and consequently began only fairly.From the outside barriers, GONNA RUN and HELENE HAPPY STAR were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1300 Metres, DIVINE CALLING momentarily raced in restricted room between ARPINATI and GIANT TREASURE.
Approaching the 1200 Metres, GUN PIT shifted out and bumped THUNDER FANTASY, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
Making the first turn after the 900 Metres, HELENE HAPPY STAR commenced to race ungenerously, got its head up and shifted out, resulting in GONNA RUN being crowded for room inside BEAUTY ONLY.
Rounding the Home Turn, SAVVY NATURE and ARPINATI raced tight as ARPINATI improved into tight running between FLYING MOOCHI and SAVVY NATURE.
DIVINE CALLING, which was following SAVVY NATURE, was steadied away from the heels of that horse after the 500 Metres.
At the 300 Metres, SAVVY NATURE was momentarily crowded for room inside DIVINE CALLING which shifted to the inside of THUNDER FANTASY to obtain clear running.
For the majority of the race, THUNDER FANTASY travelled wide and without cover.
BEAUTY ONLY and DIVINE CALLING were sent for sampling.

Beauty Only did appear to enjoy being ridden cold with cover three deep third from the rear to win going away 250m out wide. Divine Calling was shuffled back a bit to settle one off in a position worse than midfield, cornered five deep, shifted underneath a tiring Thunder Fantasy for a clear run at the 300m and finished up reasonably well to just out-bob second favourite Giant Treasure for the Quinella spot. Giant Treasure swung the final bend with one wider out and kept plugging away to make it close for the minors. He remains one to keep safe when next stepping out. Arpinati had every chance following a handy run along the rails. Thunder Fantasy travelled without cover behind the leaders, briefly hit the front, but came up one-paced in the end. Helene Happy Star got going without menacing late on. Gonna Run got by a few after travelling second from the rear on his debut.
