Punted late, Cruise Control was a handy fifth along the rails, angled out three deep coming to the final bend, worked to the front 300m out and kept on gamely for a second straight dirt win despite a return to Class Four. Glorious Ryder recovered after a slow break to travel third from the rear, improved to midfield coming to the final bend and finished willingly one off the fence to grab second 100m out. Post-time favourite, Cultural City travelled fore of midfield and one off the rails, shifted into the clear with three wider out soon after straightening, worked to second at the 150m and peaked on his run soon after. Safari Magic rolled forward to travel no closer than one off without cover on the lead at the 1,250m, cornered narrowly on top from Costa Del Sol and yielding ground 150m out. Early favourite Rock The Tree settled second from the rear and got going late. He needs at least 1,800m. Unique Happiest was up vying for the lead one off the rails, eased back to be effectively one-out, one-back at the 1,200m and only whacked on one-paced over the final 200m in his initial run on the dirt. Dragon Glory got by a few after travelling third from the rear. Go Go Win was struggling at the head of the straight after a no-cover run in midfield. Costa Del Sol was up vying for the lead and was struggling 200m out.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (086)-CHICAGO HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Metres

HOLY MAC began only fairly.

CRUISE CONTROL began awkwardly.

DRAGON GLORY also began awkwardly and then despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to muster speed.

GLORIOUS RYDER was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

For some distance passing the 1400 Metres, UNIQUE HAPPIEST proved difficult to restrain when being steadied to allow SAFARI MAGIC to cross and provide cover.

SAFARI MAGIC travelled wide and without cover until passing the 1000 Metres at which point GO GO WIN was left racing without cover.

After the 600 Metres, CULTURAL CITY was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of CRUISE CONTROL.

A veterinary inspection of DRAGON GLORY and COSTA DEL SOL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CULTURAL CITY, CRUISE CONTROL and GLORIOUS RYDER were sent for sampling.
