Recap by phillip woo
Firming favourite Teofilo Calva settled in the box-seat, then was badly held up until barging his way between runners at the 200m, hit the lead 120m out and drew clear for a fourth straight win. He's got the ability to head a lot higher . Precision King took the sit in second and one off the rails behind Gorgeous Debut, advanced to a narrow lead at the 150m while getting bumped about by Teofilo Calva and kept on gamely thereafter to clearly hold second. Key Witness bided his time behind midfield and two off the rails with cover, swung the final bend widest out and ran on reasonably to grab a placing 100m out. He appears to be crying out for a longer trip. Fat Choy Hong Kong was handy in the run and one off the rails and kept plugging away to just hold Great Storm for a First-4 spot. Great Storm travelled fore of midfield without cover, swung the final bend with two wider out and stayed on all right in an improved effort. Sea Diamond settled behind midfield along the fence, shifted two-to-three deep upon straightening and made a mild bid without menacing. Gorgeous Debut flew the gates, led by two coming to the final bend and was stopping badly 120m out. Imperial Rome badly missed the kick and was never a factor. Business As Usual was never involved after crowding at the jump.
