Favourite Full Talent was given a lovely ride to eventually find a position one off in fifth from a wide gate, swung the final bend five deep and finished up nicely under a big weight to collar Regency King in the final few metres for a fourth win from five starts. He remains one to follow up in grade off a light weight. Regency King settled third and one off the fence after vying for the lead early on, advanced to the front four deep at the 300m and found one too smart in the end while shifting out under pressure. It was a sterling effort in his first run off a long break for his new trainer. What You Dream travelled behind midfield and near the fence, swung the final bend with two deeper out and was finished well to grab a placing. He'll certainly come on for the run and will be a leading chance over his preferred mile distance. Industrialist Way kept up a reasonably good gallop over a trip short of his best following a handy run in fifth along the fence. Real Supreme went forward from a tricky gate to stalk the genuine pace of Tarzan I Am at the 1,000m, cornered three deep and only lost a placing approaching the 50m. Archippus settled midfield along the rails after a slow break, was short of room upon straightening three deep and kept plugging away without menacing when gaining a clear run passing the 200m. Charity Kingdom closed off reasonably well in an improved performance.

Racing Incident Report

Race Ten: (028)-ZHUHAI HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Metres

As the start was effected, ARCHIPPUS, which was fractious in the barriers, lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently was slow to begin.

REGENCY KING began awkwardly.

From a wide barrier, GRAND ELITE was taken across behind runners in the early stages.

After the 900 Metres, GRACEFUL KINGDOM was left racing wide and without cover.

CHARITY KINGDOM hung out rounding the Home Turn.

Passing the 400 Metres, Apprentice C Y Lui (GRACEFUL KINGDOM) dropped his right rein.

Then after the 300 Metres, GRACEFUL KINGDOM got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.

Approaching and passing the 300 Metres, ARCHIPPUS had some difficulty obtaining clear running.

The performance of VITAL PRINCE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, VITAL PRINCE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that REGENCY KING was found to have blood at its left nostril, however, there was no evidence of blood in the horse's larynx or trachea.

Accordingly, REGENCY KING was not deemed to have bled.

A veterinary inspection of STRATHTAY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

FULL TALENT and REGENCY KING were sent for sampling.

GENERAL:

Races 4 and 5 were each put back 10 minutes and Races 6 - 10 were each put back 5 minutes.

C K Tong was fined the sum of $2,000 after he was found to be smoking in the vicinity of the Jockeys' Room.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 17 September 2014 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of FIERY PATROL, SHANTARAAM, SLEDGE HAMMER, PALEPALE, HAPPY GOAL, CONFUCIUS ELITE, GRAND PLUS, SOUL ACHIEVER, LONGWAH AMBER, GOLDLAND DANCER, SMILING WATCH, VERDANE, OYSTER, DISCIPLES TWELVE, MARVEL TRIBE, KING DERBY and APOLLO CAVALIER revealed no apparent abnormality.

Riding Changes a.

As Z Purton was not properly engaged to ride WORLD CITY in Race 9 and was unable to fulfil the engagement as he was not able to make the horse's allocate weight, permission was given for W M Lai to be substituted as the rider of that horse on 18 September 2014.b.

After Race 2, O Doleuze was stood down by the Club's medical officers after he complained of pain in his right arm.
