As Hongkongers absorb the news of Siobhan Haughey’s second bronze, they will also be asking what’s coming next.
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Unless you’ve been off the grid, Simone Biles became the world’s most decorated gymnast after Tuesday and she is back in search of more gold – with golf also entering the fray.
There’s something for everyone, though, so let’s take a look at what’s on the menu.

Gymnastics: Biles redemption
The “twisties” forced Biles to withdraw from Tokyo’s all-around competition, setting the stage for a comeback arc – and so far, she has delivered.
However, this may not be so clear-cut. Tokyo’s gold and silver medallists, Biles’ compatriot Sunisa Lee and Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade respectively, will fight her for the top of the podium.
China’s Qiu Qiyuan and Ou Yushan will also hit the mats alongside the sport’s icons at 12.15am.
Swimming: 200m butterfly final
Hong Kong’s Haughey has a day off, but the sport goes on with four finals and three semi-finals slated in at ungodly hours.
Zhang Yufei, the Olympic record-holder, seeks China’s second swimming gold at 2.30am in the 200m butterfly final.
But before we pierce into the late hours of the night, Hong Kong’s Cindy Cheung Sum-yuet will go in heat 1 of the 200m backstroke at around 5pm, followed by Ian Ho Yentou’s crack at the 50m freestyle in heat 10 at 5.18pm.

Tennis: Zheng continues
It’s been an Olympics of some sort for China’s Zheng Qinwen.
After two gruelling three-hour marathons in the stifling Parisian heat, the world No 7 is just two steps away from grandeur.
But Zheng will be thrown into a trial by fire in her Olympic debut, set to meet world No 1 Iga Swiatek in the women’s singles semi-finals at 6pm.
In the mixed doubles, China’s Wang Xinyu and Zhang Zhizhen also have a semi-final, at 8pm.
Table tennis: China in quarters
The table tennis powerhouse it is China is scribbled all over today’s quarter-final matchups.
Fresh off mixed doubles dominance, world No 1 Sun Yingsha will pursue another gold against Chinese Taipei’s Cheng I-ching at 10pm, closely followed by world No 4 Fan Zhendong’s race to the semi-final against Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto at 11pm.
But preceding those games, world No 4 Chen Meng will face Austria’s Sofia Polcanova at 4pm.

Men’s golf: teeing off
We aren’t the weather forecasters, but there was a risk of rain for Hong Kong on Thursday, as there was through the week.
Your round at the Hong Kong Golf Club or in Clear Water Bay may have been cancelled.
So switch the clubs for the remotes and prepare for round one of men’s individual stroke play at 3pm.
