Hong Kong football boss Andersen to confirm decision to quit, expected to take club job in mainland China

Jorn Andersen will officially quit his job as Hong Kong head coach on Wednesday.
Local officials, including Football Association of Hong Kong, China chairman Eric Fok Kai-shan, have stayed tight-lipped amid escalating speculation over the Norwegian’s future.
And players and back-room staff, meanwhile, said they remained in the dark over the situation.
But Andersen, who has refused to comment since the news first broke on Monday, is expected to make an announcement at a midday media briefing, where he will be accompanied by the association’s acting CEO Charles Cheung Yim-yau.
And the Post has been told the 61-year-old will confirm his resignation and then take a job with a club in mainland China. He is believed to have already cleared his belongings out of the association’s offices in Kowloon.
Hong Kong play Iran in a World Cup qualifier next Thursday, before completing their group campaign in Turkmenistan on June 11.
