The Top Restaurant
Originally performed in 1988, this award-winning play by He Jiping has returned for the season. The plot follows the rise and fall of Beijing’s most popular duck restaurant as its owner retires due to ill health, with his two incompetent sons fumbling the transition. When a sharp-witted entrepreneur turns the business around within a few years, the brothers band together to fight for their share.
