Operation Santa Claus: magic of Hong Kong Disneyland deployed for Christmas postcard scheme to support charity drive
- ‘Holiday Wishes Charity Postcards’ scheme will see tens of thousands of Christmas wishes sent out, with all proceeds going to OSC
- Postcards feature some of Disney’s most-loved characters, including Duffy and Friends
Hong Kong Disneyland has once again pitched in to help Operation Santa Claus to deliver the magic of Christmas with a postcard service featuring some of the company’s most-loved characters.
The “Holiday Wishes Charity Postcards” fundraiser, back for the fourth year in a row, will send out tens of thousands of Christmas wishes to the family and friends of resort guests.
The cards will cost HK$10 (US$1.2) each and all the proceeds will be given to OSC, a joint charity drive organised by the Post and public broadcaster RTHK, now in its 35th year.
“This year, guests can purchase four new Disney festival-themed postcards, which include the beloved Duffy and Friends franchise and their new friend, Lina Bell,” Mary Lam, the director of merchandise at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, said.
Lam added guests at the resort would not only be able to send good wishes to loved ones, but also bring a smile to the faces of those in need.
“Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is honoured to continue delivering these Christmas blessings to the community through the OSC donation which allows guests to actually help others while sending Christmas wishes to their loved ones,” Lam said.
The theme park has also launched a range of other programmes to help people in need and bring the magical spirit of the holidays to many more people, in addition to its support of the 15 worthy causes backed by OSC this year.
