Shows of Italian marque’s racing cars and classic models, worth US$180 million, and 70 Russian fine art oil paintings and sculptures among attractions

Macau, which has been dubbed “Asia’s Las Vegas” and is designated as one of Unesco’s prestigious “Creative City of Gastronomy”, is known for its extravagant entertainment and scrumptious cuisine.

However, the city is also making great efforts to expand its appeal by staging art, cultural and design events.

This year, the city is hosting a series of exhibitions in different venues dotted around the former Portuguese colony.

Check out some of the highlights – including events featuring luxury cars, contemporary Chinese art and Russian fine art – which will be well worth a visit.

3rd Macao Printmaking Triennial

When: until March 17

Staged at several art venues in Macau, the triennial exhibition features 175 printmaking artworks that were selected as prizewinners and finalists in the competition, which attracted more than 1,000 entries from 39 countries and regions around the world.

This year, Polish artist Łukasz Koniuszy’s Habitable Structure was awarded the Gold Prize, with Thai artist Warranutchai Kajaree claiming the Silver Prize for The Remains of the Painful Thing 6 and  The Way of Harvester No. 2, by another Thai artist, Rattana Sudjarit, securing the Bronze Prize.
