Review / A calm spa oasis in the heart of bustling Central, Hong Kong? We tried The Chaless Wellness and Beauty in Soho’s 10-step facial with oxygen infusion and LED light mask to get summer-ready
- Beauty expert Anna Flores launched The Chaless Wellness and Beauty in 2021, conveniently located on Aberdeen Street but with a rustic design that evokes Japanese zen or European mountain chalets
- Championing ‘slow beauty’, The Chaless’ signature facial ritual starts with exfoliation and hydrating serums applied with a massage – and it didn’t even irritate our sensitive skin
Conveniently located on Aberdeen Street and started by beauty industry expert Anna Flores, The Chaless is a hidden haven perfect for urban dwellers seeking rest and restoration in the city. In fact, I had walked past it plenty of times in the past while rushing off to dinner or bar hopping after work, but I simply wasn’t aware it was there … until now.
The spa: The Chaless Wellness and Beauty, Hong Kong
Designed to reflect the healing sanctuaries of Europe and Japan, the treatment rooms at The Chaless somehow manage to channel the rustic charm of mountain chalets. Yes, in the heart of Central. From the moment you walk in off the street, the venue’s natural elements and wooden interiors take you straight out of the city and into a mini oasis of zen.
The treatments
The ritual starts with a deep yet gentle exfoliation followed by an infusion of intense hydrating serums, which work beautifully with a skin firming and tightening massage. Skin tone is brought back to its natural radiance, improving the appearance of my pores. Then, I was treated to an H202 Skin Oxygen Infusion to boost hydration before receiving an LED light mask to cap off my relaxing time at The Chaless.
