A source told the news outlet that his specific diagnosis is chronic myeloid leukaemia, adding that he is undergoing treatment in prison on Rikers Island in New York.
Weinstein’s prison consultant and authorised legal healthcare rep in the Big Apple responded in a statement to CNN asking for privacy. “It is both troubling and unacceptable that such private and confidential health matters have become a subject of public discourse. Out of respect for Mr. Weinstein’s privacy, we will offer no further comment,” Craig Rothfeld said, per the source.
