The 2015 Stewards' Cup was a Group 1 race over 1,600m that was held on January 25th 2015 for horses aged three years or older. It was first run at Happy Valley on 22 May 1954, and became the first leg of the Triple Crown in Hong Kong when the series was launched in the 1991/92 season. The other two legs are the Hong Kong Gold Cup and the Champions & Chater Cup. Each race of the Triple Crown carries prize money of HK$10 million. A special bonus of HK$10 million is paid to the owner of a horse winning all three legs of the series. River Verdon is the only horse to have achieved this feat, in the 1993/94 season.
