It was the NACRA Sevens men’s final everyone had hoped for Sunday in North Carolina, and the North Americans didn’t disappoint. The USA ran out 21-5 winners against Canada, booking a place at next year’s Rio Olympics alongside the USA women’s side, who had earlier crushed Mexico 88-0 in their qualifying decider.

It was the NACRA Sevens men’s final everyone had hoped for Sunday in North Carolina, and the North Americans didn’t disappoint. The USA ran out 21-5 winners against Canada, booking a place at next year’s Rio Olympics alongside the USA women’s side, who had earlier crushed Mexico 88-0 in their qualifying decider. The men’s team will join hosts Brazil, the top four World Series finishers – Fiji, South Africa, New Zealand and England – plus South American qualifiers Argentina. The USA women will join the hosts, the top four from the World Series – Canada, New Zealand, Australia and England – and Colombia, who won the South American regional qualifier earlier this month.
