Grand champions Societe Generale Valley are expecting a backlash from league title holders Leighton Asia HKCC in another HKRU Premiership showdown Saturday.

Valley and HKCC played each other to a standstill in every meeting last season, culminating in a gritty 18-15 Grand Championship win for Valley.

Valley are coming off a 23-13 win over Borrelli Walsh USRC Tigers in round two of the Premiership last weekend, while HKCC were stung by a defensive lapse that allowed Bloomberg Hong Kong Scottish to score three tries in 15 minutes last week in Aberdeen.

But Valley coach Jack Isaac wants more from his players – the only outfit to remain unbeaten so far this season.

“With [Hong Kong] Cricket Club coming off a 20-plus point loss we’re expecting them to show a significant reaction.
