David Hall is a Hong Kong horse trainer. The Australian, son of prominent trainer Joe, began his own training career in 1988 at Morphettville, before heading to Melbourne five years later. He celebrated his best season in Australia a year before moving to Hong Kong, including winning the Melbourne Cup with champion mare Makybe Diva in 2003. He also prepared the legendary Silent Witness in Melbourne, before the galloper switched to Tony Cruz in Hong Kong. Hall moved to Hong Kong in 2004-05, with Absolute Champion's 2006 Hong Kong Sprint victory his highlight to date.
