Race Seven : (373) - HONG KONG PARK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 KEEFY (G306) L Ferraris Bumped at the start.
When giving ground near the 200 Metres was bumped by AESTHETICISM which shifted out.
Noted to have sustained a small wound to the right hind leg.
Horse No 3 ROCKET SPADE (G170) H Bowman After the event, H Bowman could offer no explanation for his mount's failure to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 SHARPEN BRIGHT (H276) K Teetan Bumped at the start.
Horse No 6 STAR MAC (J053) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Noted to have blood in the mouth after the race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 STELLAR GRANDE (J189) A Atzeni In the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out.
Horse No 8 AESTHETICISM (H289) Z Purton On jumping was crowded between HAMERON and ROCKET SPADE which was taken out by AMAZING VICTORY.
Bumped near the 200 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 SIMPLE HEDGE (H237) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, SIMPLE HEDGE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 10 AMAZING VICTORY (G123) C Y Ho Near the 500 Metres was briefly crowded between AESTHETICISM and SIMPLE HEDGE which shifted in slightly.
Between the 500 Metres and the 400 Metres AMAZING VICTORY raced tight between SIMPLE HEDGE and AESTHETICISM which shifted out.
After the event, C Y Ho reported that with the event being run outside of standard time throughout the early stages AMAZING VICTORY raced keenly and as a result did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 SURE JOYFUL (G125) M Chadwick After the event, M Chadwick stated that the intention was to find cover but when the early stages of the event were run outside of standard time and no other runners showed intent to lead, SURE JOYFUL led without being pressure to do so.
Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued.

Punted late Star Mac never went around a horse from last to take control 100m out for a first local win at his 17th start. He's always promised and the move to the Valley worked the oracle. Favourite Aestheticism ran on nicely for second without threatening the winner after making his run three from the rear. He's racing well without winning in five outings this term. Sharpen Bright stayed on well for third after a prominent run on the fence. He's as honest as the day is long. Sure Joyful kept on well for fourth after dictating the run from gate two. It was a better run in this grade. Toy Soltero gradually faded after pressing forward from gate 12 to track the leader 1,150m out. Romantic Laos made inroads late down the outside to finish next best after settling third last from a tricky gate. He rarely produces a bad run over this course. Stellar Grande just held his ground after a rails run from midfield. He's gone OK in both runs but is still acclimatising. Rocket Spade came up one-paced following a one-
