Racing Incident Report
Race Eleven : (366) - AEROVELOCITY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 LADY'S CHOICE (H155) J McDonald Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 DREAM WINNER (H308) L Ferraris Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 3 INVINCIBLE SHIELD (K168) C Y Ho Near the 300 Metres was momentarily crowded between VICTORY SKY and STORMING DRAGON, both of which shifted ground slightly.
After the event, C Y Ho reported that he was not given any specific instructions.
He said when unable to obtain cover INVINCIBLE SHIELD raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 STORMING DRAGON (J237) B Shinn On jumping was bumped by DREAM WINNER which shifted out.
Horse No 7 SUNNYVALE (K036) K De Melo Near the 100 Metres raced tight to the inside of DREAM WINNER which shifted in when giving ground.
Horse No 9 PRINCE OF PORTY (H009) M F Poon Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 TIMES TABLE (J230) B Thompson On jumping was checked when crowded between FUN ELITE which was taken out by LADY'S CHOICE and AURIO which shifted in abruptly.
Horse No 11 AURIO (K056) C Williams After being placed into the starting gates reared, was removed and passed suitable to start.
Before being allowed to race again, AURIO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
Shifted in abruptly on jumping and was bumped.
Making the Home Turn was held up for clear running behind HOLMES A COURT.
Leaving the 400 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of HOLMES A COURT to obtain clear running.
Horse No 12 FUN ELITE (J042) L Hewitson Crowded at the start.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 13 VICTORY SKY (J540) K C Leung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 14 MEOWTH (J487) M Chadwick Near the 500 Metres was eased to avoid PRINCE OF PORTY when PRINCE OF PORTY shifted out to improve.
After the event, M Chadwick reported that his mount failed to travel after crossing HOLMES A COURT in the middle stages and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 HALO OF SUCCESS (K133) A Atzeni Reared after being placed into the starting gates and struck its head.
Acting on veterinary advice that HALO OF SUCCESS was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
The Stewards ruled that HALO OF SUCCESS will be required to attend barrier practice to the satisfaction of the Starter prior to performing satisfactorily in a barrier trial and being subjected to an official veterinary examination before allowed to race again.
GENERAL:
1.
After the running of Race 7, the track classification was officially changed from "Good"to "Good to Firm" This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.
As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 7 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm"
2.
Racing Laboratory tests of CERVIN, PEGASUS GENERAL, PODIUM, GOLDEN RISE, FORTUNE WHISKEY, MIGHTY COMMANDER, THE AZURE, NINJA DERBY, BEAUTY LIGHT, JUDY'S GREAT, CIRCUIT DUFFY, HAPPY SOUL, SPIRIT OF PEACE, FIREFOOT, AMAZING AWARD, HAPPY TOGETHER, MOMENTS IN TIME, HELENE FEELING, ETERNAL FORTUNE, SPICY GOLD, SPEED DRAGON, CALIFORNIATOTALITY and SUPER UNICORN (8.1.25) proved negative.

Prince Of Porty settled in the box seat, worked to a narrow lead near the 200m and lifted late to just get the better of Lady's Choice for a fourth win at his 20th start. Lady's Choice wouldn't go down without a fight after leading from gate five. It was another solid effort carrying top weight following a last-start win. Majestic Express ran on nicely to finish a close third after a wide with cover trip from behind midfield. He continues to race well in this grade following a Class Four win. Victory Sky made good ground late down the outside for fourth after making his run third last from gate 13. He can bob up at any moment after figuring in the mix in three of five local runs this term. Storming Dragon made headway late after a patient ride second last from gate 12. He wasn't quite good enough to offset a rise in weight and a wide draw following a win. Fun Elite kept on one-paced after a handy run wide without cover. He had an excuse.
