Horse No 2 CHATEAUNEUF (J219) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS (H170) K De Melo Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 4 LIVEANDLETLIVE (K156) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly.
Lay in in the Home Straight and near the 50 Metres was awkwardly positioned behind HALO OF SUCCESS when that runner shifted out slightly.
Horse No 5 MAJESTIC EXPRESS (J244) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Approaching the 300 Metres was held up for clear running before being shifted to the inside of HARMONY FIRE near the 200 Metres to secure a clear run.
After the 200 Metres then improved into a narrow run between HARMONY FIRE and WONDERSTAR.
Horse No 6 SUNNYVALE (K036) M Chadwick On jumping shifted out and away from HALO OF SUCCESS.
Horse No 7 SWEET BRIAR (H044) L Hewitson A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 REZEKI (J340) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Horse No 12 HARMONY FIRE (E175) P N Wong After the 200 Metres was bumped by MAJESTIC EXPRESS.

Favourite Storming Dragon settled midfield on the fence after a sluggish start and got up 50m out for a second win and first in this grade from his past three starts. He's racing well and can win again. Chateauneuf found one just too good after poking his head in front 100m out following a one-out, one-back run. It was a good effort. Run Run Smart ran on nicely to finish a close third after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was a much better effort. Majestic Express took the short route home for fourth after a patient ride three from the rear. It was another honest performance. Specked at long odds, Halo Of Success ran on steadily to grab fifth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a much better effort following a gear change at his second local start. Liveandletlive made inroads late to finish next best after a patient ride third last from a tricky draw. It was a positive first effort in Hong Kong. Wonderstar faded after dictating the run from gate nine. He was not good enough carrying top weight again.
