Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (308) - YAU KOM TAU HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 GO GO GO (H196) Z Purton Had its left front plate refitted in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Horse No 3 GLUCK RACER (E157) H Bentley Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by TURTLE AGAIN which was taken in by GOLDEN FAIRY.
Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres was badly held up for clear running.
Horse No 4 MARIO (J100) M L Yeung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.
The performance of MARIO, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, MARIO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 5 ON THE LASH (J182) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 SUPER HONG KONG (D241) K Teetan Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by CHATEAU LE PECHE which shifted out.
Near the 50 Metres was taken in slightly.
Horse No 7 CHILLI BABA (G339) L Ferraris Proved difficult to load into the starting gates.
Before being allowed to race again, CHILLI BABA will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
Jumped only fairly.
Over the concluding stages lay in, resulting in its rider L Ferraris changing his whip to his right hand near the 50 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) M F Poon Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 GOLDEN FAIRY (E448) A Badel After the event, A Badel could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 TURTLE AGAIN (H083) H Bowman Approaching the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of GOLDEN FAIRY.
After the event, H Bowman stated that his mount travelled well in the event but after obtaining clear running near the 300 Metres responded only fairly to his riding and gave ground over the concluding stages.
Trainer T P Yung advised that TURTLE AGAIN had pleased him leading into today's race.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of TURTLE AGAIN was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, TURTLE AGAIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 RED MAVERICK (J067) Y L Chung From the 450 Metres to the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 8 FAMILY FORTUNE (H447) E C W Wong Withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever).
Before being allowed to race again, FAMILY FORTUNE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Chilli Baba came from last after a tardy start and widest out to get up in the concluding stages for a second win from 21 starts. On The Lash found one just too good after improving after a four wide trip from better than midfield to sit second 850m out, before putting his head in front at the 250m. Red Maverick stayed on well for third after a box-seat run. It was a pleasing effort at his first go over the Sha Tin 1,800m. Super Hong Kong ran on late for fourth after making his run three from the rear. He was able to back up a closing fourth last start over 2,200m. Smashing Express wove a run late for fifth after making his run from second last from gate one. Gluck Racer got going late near the outside after making his run two from the rear. It wasn't a bad effort. Go Go Go was yielding ground 100m out after clearing to the lead 1,200m out from gate 14. Turtle Again threw in the towel 200m out after a rails run from behind midfield.
