Race Ten : (316) - CHA KWO LING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 DANCING CODE (G365) E C W Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 KING MILES (J158) C Y Ho From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 3 MATTERS MOST (K154) H Bentley Near the 900 Metres was steadied when crowded by ENDUED (B Avdulla) which shifted in when not clear.
B Avdulla was reprimanded.
Approaching the 300 Metres was steadied when crowded between ROMANTIC SON and ENDUED.
Horse No 4 PRAWNS ELEVEN (J140) M F Poon Kicked a rail on entering the track, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 5 ROMANTIC SON (J537) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ENDUED (K033) B Avdulla Near the 300 Metres was hampered when taken out by BEAUTY GLORY which shifted out abruptly and was quickly corrected by its rider Y L Chung.
When questioned, B Avdulla stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position than last start.
He said when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to make some use of his mount to cross MATTERS MOST which resulted in ENDUED racing in a more forward position than what had been intended.
He said as a result of the work it was obliged to do in the early stages ENDUED did not run on in the Home Straight.
He added, in his opinion, ENDUED would be better suited by being ridden more conservatively in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 TELL ME MORE (K019) K Teetan Bumped on jumping.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
Before being allowed to race again, TELL ME MORE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 9 UP WITH CHARM (K139) A Pouchin Jumped awkwardly and was bumped.
Horse No 10 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
Had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 300 Metres.
Near the 150 Metres was disappointed for clear running between ROMANTIC SON and KING MILES and was shifted to the outside of KING MILES to continue into clear running.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 BEAUTY GLORY (E459) Y L Chung Bumped at the start.
Approaching the 300 Metres shifted out abruptly before being corrected and as a result made contact with ENDUED.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 LUCKY COMBINATION (J512) M L Yeung Bumped on jumping.

Dancing Code was too good after hitting the lead 300m out following a prominent run. He relished a return to turf with the claim well utilised from gate one. Romantic Son just got up for second without threatening the winner after a one-off trip from midfield. He will be winning soon with two seconds and a fourth from four starts. King Miles ran on nicely to just miss second after a patient ride second last from gate 12. It was a return to form with a step back in distance. Lifeline Express was held up at a crucial stage when trying to make inroads from near the rear and should have finished closer. Know At Heart made some ground late near the outside after making his run five back and one off the fence. He's shown potential in both local starts. Matters Most held his ground after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was a better effort at this third local start. Prawns Eleven was yielding ground 150m out after assuming the lead from Beauty Glory 600m out following a pace-prompting run along the inside. He's not easy to get right.
