Race One : (307) - LAI CHI CHONG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 FUN ELITE (J042) P N Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 LITTLE SQUID (K050) M F Poon Slow to begin.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out to the finish when held up behind SPICY SPANGLE.
Horse No 4 NOBLE GO (K053) B Avdulla Bumped at the start.
Horse No 5 SAVVY TWINKLE (K067) H Bentley In the early and middle stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from HAPPY HOLIDAY.
Near the 500 Metres was bumped by HAPPY HOLIDAY which shifted out.
In the Home Straight raced greenly and proved difficult to ride out.
Horse No 6 SHOTGUN (K111) H Bowman Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start.
Became fractious in the barriers, was removed from the starting gates, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Before being allowed to race again, SHOTGUN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 HAPPY HOLIDAY (J240) K Teetan Raced greenly throughout the event and lay out rounding the turns in the middle stages.
Noted to have blood in the mouth after the race.
Horse No 8 ALWAYS MY FOLKS (J345) B Thompson Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 SPICY SPANGLE (J087) E C W Wong After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that he was obliged to make some use of his mount in the early stages to cross and lead which resulted in SPICY SPANGLE not being able to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 SPORTIC WARRIOR (J385) M L Yeung From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 12 ALMIGHTY KICK (J254) C Y Ho Slow to begin.
Horse No 9 BROTHER CHENG (J046) Y L Chung Dislodged its rider whilst proceeding to the starting gates and as a consequence galloped a considerable distance riderless.
Acting on veterinary advice that BROTHER CHENG was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, BROTHER CHENG will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Favourite Fun Elite sat third, moved to the lead 250m out and kept on gamely for a second win from seven starts. He appreciated both a rise in trip and move to 10-pound claimer Britney Wong Po-ni. Always My Folks ran on well for second after a prominent run one off the fence. It was a good effort second up this season after being gelded in October. Riding High kept on a one-paced third after tracking the leader on the fence. He was able to build on a fifth last start over the straight 1,000m. Savvy Twinkle got going late with one wider out for fourth after making his run three from the rear. He showed his inexperience in the run, but it was nonetheless a positive debut performance. Happy Holiday made up a bit of ground late after a rails run from midfield. It was a better effort. Almighty Kick ran on late down the outside without threatening after making his run one from the rear. He's shown some improvement.
