Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (295) - URANUS HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 KYRUS DRAGON (H396) H Bowman Over the final 100 Metres was held up for clear running behind PRAWNS ELEVEN and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 AURORA LADY (J066) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ALLGREEKTOME (H007) L Ferraris A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 BEAUTY DESTINY (H281) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 GALLANT VALOUR (H323) B Avdulla From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 YOUNG ARROW (J401) H Bentley Approaching the 150 Metres was steadied when racing tight between ALLGREEKTOME and PRAWNS ELEVEN when both runners shifted ground.
In this incident, YOUNG ARROW was accidentally struck across the head by the whip of L Ferraris, rider of ALLGREEKTOME.
Horse No 11 FLYING FORTRESS (J445) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
When questioned, M Chadwick stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after commencing only fairly FLYING FORTRESS was obliged to settle back in the field.
He said entering the Home Straight, when racing greenly, FLYING FORTRESS was eased away from NORDIC DRAGON when that runner shifted out and continued to race greenly for some distance thereafter.
He added in the Home Straight FLYING FORTRESS lay in and as a result he pulled his whip to the right hand near the 100 Metres but over the concluding stages could not ride his mount with full vigour when it was positioned close to NORDIC DRAGON.
Horse No 12 SERGEANT PEPPER (E432) E C W Wong Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Firming favourite Aurora Lady tracked the speed outside Allgreektome, surged to the lead 250m out and just held on to make it back-to-back wins and three from seven starts this term. Beauty Destiny charged late near the inside to make it close on the wire after a patient ride three from the rear. It was another fine performance in a higher grade after back-to-back wins. Nordic Dragon ran on well for third without threatening the top two after making his run four from the rear. It was a better effort third up this term. Punted late Golden Empire just got the head down for fourth after a handy run one off the fence. He might be close to a rating bottom. Young Arrow nearly filled a top four spot after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a better effort on his return to the course and distance of a third in September. Flying Fortress ran on without threatening after making his run third last following a tardy start. He's gone all right once at each track to start his career in Hong Kong.
