Recap by phillip woo

Punted late, Super Charizzard was too good after moving to the lead 200m out following a perfect trip in third and one off the fence. It was his second win over the Valley 1,200m from his past three starts. Winning Heart stayed on nicely for second after finding a spot one off the rail in better than midfield from gate 12. He's a winner waiting to happen. From gate 11, Ever Smart came from last and with two wider out to make it close for second. It was another good effort following a downgrade. Speedy Chariot ran on late for fourth after settling in third last from gate seven. He's racing reasonably well without winning. Favourite Speed Smartie only plodded after a prominent run along the fence. The big weight seemed to anchor him despite a downgrade. Circuit Ten made some ground without ever threatening following a one-off trip in midfield. He hasn't disgraced without looking a winning chance. Flying Dragon just plodded after a wide without cover trip settling behind midfield from gate 11.
