Race Eight : (266) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY BELOVED COLLECTION HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 FIND MY LOVE (H110) M L Yeung Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind SECOND TO NONE.
Horse No 2 MIGHTY STRIDE (G346) J McDonald After the event, J McDonald stated that he was instructed to hold a more forward position than its previous race starts with the visor being applied for the first time.
He said when unable to obtain a position close to the rail MIGHTY STRIDE was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued and attributed today's performance to the fact that MIGHTY STRIDE was caught wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 KAHOLO ANGEL (H216) C Y Ho From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Lay in in the Home Straight.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 HUGE WAVE (J197) H Bentley For a short distance approaching the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of TOURBILLON PRINCE.
Horse No 8 FRANCIS MEYNELL (J394) M Chadwick On jumping was steadied when crowded by CHAMPION INSTINCT which shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider.
From the 600 Metres was taken wider by KAHOLO ANGEL when that runner shifted out to improve.
FRANCIS MEYNELL then hung out making the Home Turn.
Horse No 9 LIGHT YEARS CHARM (K130) A Atzeni Slow to begin.
From the 400 Metres until the 250 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of SOVEREIGN FUND.
Horse No 10 ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (J039) L Hewitson Blundered on jumping and lost ground.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 HE WAS ME (J535) K Teetan On jumping was taken out by SECOND TO NONE which shifted out.
From the outside barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 13 SOVEREIGN FUND (J402) B Thompson Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running between CHAMPION INSTINCT and MIGHTY STRIDE.
Horse No 14 CHAMPION INSTINCT (H012) A Badel Shifted in on jumping and was bumped.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the event, A Badel stated that his mount raced "flat" today.
After the race, it was noted that the horse had its tongue over the bit on return to the unsaddling area.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" Horse No PACKING POWER (J284) Z Purton Withdrawn on 13.12.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter FIND MY LOVE.
Before being allowed to race again, PACKING POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Second up off a long layoff, Tourbillon Prince led and kept finding after skipping away by two lengths 200m out for a third win at his 19th start and second from six 1,400m outings. Kaholo Angel dashed well near the outside for second after turning the final bend two from the rear. He appreciated the 1,400m after getting up for fifths in his past two starts over 1,200m. Huge Wave stayed on third best after a prominent run on the fence. He had his chance. Favourite Armour War Eagle stayed on well for fourth after getting flushed out four wide coming to the final bend travelling fourth from the rear. He relished a step back in distance. Punted late Light Years Charm ran on nicely for fifth after getting shuffled back to travel behind midfield coming to the final bend following a slow start. It was an eye-catching effort on his local debut. Find My Love just plodded after a handy run one off the fence. He might not be far off a rating bottom. Aurio made some ground without threatening from behind midfield.
