Recap by phillip woo

Grand Nova was handy in the run in the middle of the track and wore down long-time leader and favourite, Circuit Jolly, 60m out to score a second win and first over the Sha Tin 1,000m from eight starts. Circuit Jolly wouldn't go down without a fight after getting pestered for the lead on the grandstand side from gate 13. It was a good effort wearing blinkers at his first start over the straight 1,000m. Summit Cheers kept on well for third after prompting the pace underneath Circuit Jolly. It was a return to form following a downgrade. Fun Elite ran on steadily for third settling midfield two off the grandstand side. He's improved from one run to the next following a lengthy break. Riding High kept on all right after sitting third in the run near the grandstand side from gate 14. It was his best performance. Newcomer Snowthorn just held his ground travelling without cover near the far side from better than midfield. He needed the outing. Shiny Rapidash ran on without threatening after rearing at the start.
