Race Ten : (249) - HIGHLAND REEL HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1400Meters
Horse No 2 HARMONY GREAT (K078) M L Yeung Rounding the Home Turn lay out.
Horse No 3 SON PAK FU (G265) Y L Chung After the event, Y L Chung confirmed that he was instructed to hold a forward position.
Horse No 5 PACKING TREADMILL (G161) L Ferraris After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount blundered shortly after the start and became unbalanced and in the Home Straight he was concerned with its action.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 CHIU CHOW SPIRIT (H175) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
Briefly held up for clear running approaching the 400 Metres behind PACKING HERMOD.
Horse No 7 TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482) K De Melo When giving ground near the 200 Metres was steadied when crowded by SON PAK FU which was taken in by SING DRAGON (A Badel).
A Badel was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 9 YOUNG CHAMPION (J195) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
After the 250 Metres was held up for clear running when endeavouring to improve to the inside of PACKING HERMOD.
Horse No 10 PACKING HERMOD (J277) J Moreira Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 SING DRAGON (J141) A Badel Raced keenly in the early stages.
Between the 450 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 12 RUBYLOT (H412) L Hewitson From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 ALLCASH (K190) A Pouchin After the event, A Pouchin reported that his mount raced erratically throughout the event and was checked near the 600 Metres when racing to the inside of RUBYLOT.
He said ALLCASH continued to race erratically thereafter.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The racing manners and performance of ALLCASH, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, ALLCASH will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 14 KEEFY (G306) M Chadwick Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Favourite Packing Hermod was one off behind midfeld and ran on strongly to grab the lead 20m out, holding off Rubylot for a fourth win plus a second from five starts. He has a bright future. Punted late Rubylot finished willingly down the outside to run a close second after making his run two from the rear. It was a return to form after a flat effort last start. Chiu Chow Spirit ran on nicely to finish a half-length third after biding his time three from the rear. He was able to get on track after failing with excuses in two prior starts. Drombeg Banner succumbed late after skipping clear by nearly three lengths at the 200m dictating things from gate 14. Young Champion was getting going late for fifth after a patient ride second last from gate seven. He's produced mixed results in his four starts this season. Sing Dragon just held his ground when a run finally presented itself 200m out following a rails run from midfield. Packing Treadmill had his chance but wasn't good enough when the whips were cracking following a one-off trip from midfield.
