Debutant The Boom Box travelled keenly three from the rear but wove a run near the inside to get up 60m out for the win to land a betting move. Punted late Island Buddy found one just too good after poking his head in front 100m out following a box-seat run. It was a solid run. Panda ran on nicely down the outside for third after settling second last from a wide draw. He is hard to get right. Super Legends succumbed late leading 400m out after going forward three wide on the speed from gate 10. The hard run carrying top weight took its toll. Lucky Man ran on steadily for fifth after a rails run from midfield. He's naturally coming to hand in his four starts this term. Bear Champ was doing his best work late from the rear of the field. He has shown flashes of ability in both starts. Elegant Life kept on evenly after a wide trip from midfield. It was an OK effort following a downgrade. Favourite Cheerful World failed to respond when asked for an effort following a handy run along the inside and gave up the chase 100m out.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two : (222) - CAMERON HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 3 CHEERFUL WORLD (H352) L Ferraris After being shifted to the outside of ISLAND BUDDY near the 700 Metres was then steadied to avoid GOOD CHAP as that runner did not improve into the event which resulted in CHEERFUL WORLD shifting back behind ISLAND BUDDY.

After the event, L Ferraris stated that his mount travelled satisfactorily throughout the early and middle stages and after initially responding to his riding in the Home Straight gave ground over the final 150 Metres.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.

Before being allowed to race again, CHEERFUL WORLD will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 PANDA (H466) A Pouchin Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 5 BEAR CHAMP (J313) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.

Horse No 6 GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY (K002) M L Yeung Near the 850 Metres was checked when crowded between ISLAND BUDDY which shifted out slightly and GOOD CHAP which was racing tight to the inside of SUPER LEGENDS (J McDonald) which shifted in slightly.

J McDonald was advised to ensure that he leaves sufficient racing room for runners to his inside.

In taking no direct action, the Stewards found that the racing manners of GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY, which was having its second race start, contributed to the incident in that it shifted out towards the heels of GOOD CHAP prior to being checked.

Horse No 7 GOOD CHAP (J499) H Bowman Proved difficult to load.

The barrier manners and performance of GOOD CHAMP were considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, GOOD CHAP will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Jumped only fairly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 THE BOOM BOX (K076) C Y Ho In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 700 Metres was steadied away from PERFECTO MOMENTS when it improved to the inside of that runner.

THE BOOM BOX was then awkwardly placed behind PERFECTO MOMENTS for some distance thereafter.

Near the 450 Metres was momentarily held up for clear running behind PERFECTO MOMENTS.

Horse No 9 ISLAND BUDDY (J217) M Chadwick On jumping was bumped by LUCKY MAN which shifted in.

Horse No 10 PERFECTO MOMENTS (J003) Y L Chung Noted to have sustained a small laceration to the right hind leg after the race.

Horse No 11 LUCKY MAN (J315) L Hewitson Shifted in at the start and was bumped.

Approaching the 1100 Metres was steadied to obtain cover when racing tight to the inside of GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY.

Near the 400 Metres was steadied to avoid GOOD CHAP when that runner commenced to give ground and was then shifted to the outside to secure clear running soon after.

Horse No 12 GANGNAM STAR (H326) H Bentley Near the 1100 Metres was eased when placed in restricted room to the inside of GOOD CHAP.

Approaching the 800 Metres was steadied away from THE BOOM BOX.
