Favourite My Wish slotted in third with cover from gate 13 and was too smart after moving to the lead 250m out to improve his record to three wins and a third from four starts this season. Steps Ahead ran on nicely for second after a rails run from midfield. It was another good effort carrying nine pounds more following a win. Magnificent Nine ran on nicely to nearly grab second without a clear run until the 300m travelling five back on the fence. He keeps promising without delivering. Gracious Express stayed on well for fourth after a prominent run along the fence. It was another honest performance. Huge Wave ran on well for fifth with one wider out after making his run four from the rear. It was another positive performance. Geneva ran on without threatening down the outside settling second last from gate 11. The rise in class and distance worked against him. Super Goldi just held his ground after a one-off trip from midfield. He's looking forward to a return to Class Four.

Race Ten : (230) - SALISBURY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

Horse No 3 MY WISH (J256) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 STEPS AHEAD (J263) C Y Ho Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 STORM RIDER (J027) J McDonald Jumped awkwardly.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 6 SPANISH FLAME (K013) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly and then was bumped shortly after the start.

Horse No 7 DEFINITIVE (K037) B Avdulla Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between STEPS AHEAD and HE WAS ME which, after making contact with SPANISH FLAME, shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.

Horse No 8 GENEVA (J114) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.

On the Home Turn was taken wider when HUGE WAVE shifted out to improve.

After the event, Z Purton reported that with the race being run inside of standard time in the early stages, GENEVA did not travel comfortably and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 HE WAS ME (J535) Y L Chung Shortly after the start shifted in, was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.

Horse No 11 MAGNIFICENT NINE (H433) A Hamelin Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.

Horse No 12 POLARIS (J404) P N Wong Made contact with the right side of its barrier on jumping and as a result was slow to begin.

Horse No 14 TOP PEAK (H441) H Bentley After the event, H Bentley reported that he had some concern with his mount's action in the Home Straight and as a result he eased it down over the concluding stages when not in a competitive position.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

The performance of TOP PEAK, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, TOP PEAK will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
